Li has a nice look to it. Makes it look a little sleeker. I've taken a ride in the back of one before and it was definitely a huge difference, even though it doesn't sound that big on paper. Personally wouldn't do it because the standard wheelbase sticks out of some parking spots around here as is. I would wait until those kids are 16 so that you can have em drive you around in your mobile office.

Adam, are the extra 45 horses in the N63tu noticeable?

Yeah, makes a difference in the smoothness of acceleration since it seems to have an easier time getting the big ol 7 moving. Gave it a hard acceleration off the line and I could feel the extra torque behind it. My driving lately has been pretty tame as I break it in so some of the other guys like Chris or Richard who have had theirs for a while could probably weigh in better on this. I've heard a few people say it feels like a different car. Here's a more in depth review:

The rear wheel looks relatively smaller compared to the front. Is that an effectg of the lighting, and perhaps a slight angle? I do admit that mineral white is gorgeous. And I prefer lighter colors for the 7, since I like the car to look big, and not like a 5 series.

It's new look 22s up front 20s in the back. Learned about it back when I was on the E65 forum. Haha na it's just a crappy picture. I'll take some real pics outside of my place once the tint dries and I can clean this thing up.

Wow Adam, the car looks great and I love the mineral white. Sounds like you got a pretty sweet deal. How about some outside picís when you get a chance. Any mods in the works?

Congrats Adam! That mineral white looks fantastic.

Stay safe out there, almost got side swiped by a woman in a brand new GS on her phone (couldn't figure out Bluetooth?!?!?) off Wilshire

I honestly don't know how there aren't more accidents around downtown. People drive like its freaking raining asteroids and we're all going to die. A guy in an Odyssey had no qualms about cutting over 3 lanes to a left turn lane, with traffic doing 40-45 with a van full of kids...

Thanks Richard. Here are some new pics now that I got this big ol shark clean. The lighting wasn't conducive to Mineral White so it looks more like alpine white.

Good luck with your new ride my friend.
LOL, I had my F02 in for service, and they gave me a 328i loaner with a complimentary ipod (ipad was way too nice) taped to the dash. I thought maybe it folded down or something, but no, it just kind of sits up there on the dash very awkwardly. Definitely not impressed with the 3's these days, and it seems like they have gotten tiny since about 10 years ago.

Thanks. Not a fan of the M sport bumpers, so I'm lucky in that the sport steering wheel is standard nowadays and the dealership hooked me up with the M 20's. Would have liked the sport anthracite headliner b/c the standard grey always gets stained with girls mascara etc. when they're playing around with the vanity mirror

How are you liking the transition from the 7 to the S?

I think you made a wise decision, after my '12 Li, trying to park that land yacht was a major bitch. I will never get a LWB car again, it's too much of a constant hassle and worrying about someone hitting you in a parking lot. Compound that with already tight parking around us, its just too much... our car is long enough as it is.

I love your combination, I think the 303's look great with the non-M Sport front & rear bumpers. Not that I don't love my M Sport 7, but the "regular" version looks so much more aristocratic and imposing. The first LCI non-M Sport I saw on the street was a 760Li Individual. Definitely had street presence to me, felt like I was driving a 5 series when I pulled up behind it

Yes, they're still off Wilshire. As much as I love LA, the horrible roads in Hollywood, the CHP gestapo, and the general lack of driver awareness EVERYWHERE makes me loathe driving my car out there.

Again great choice!
Chris

The LCI 7 without the msport looks so much cleaner than the pre-LCI, add the new Alpina lip and it looks even better.

And on the topic of the new 7...I was at the dealer yesterday and they had a beautiful 2013 7 in mineral white with the msport package and LED lighting package. The SA I deal with was tempting me to trade in my car but than I thought about my other half murdering me when I got home with a new car so I decided against it...for now lol.

Wow looks great , basically the M sport 303's changes the aspect of the 7 tremendously IMO .

Agree with you both. Im stil not sold on the whole M package thing. From all the pictures I really do think the non M package cars look better. But I got the M package because it was a free 4600 add-on. But when my car gets here maybe I will understand. But I LIKE the chrome trimmings that the M package doesnt have (window lining especially). But I definitely like your car with the non M package but with the M 303 wheels. Very nice!

Just to confirm, you can choose the 20's for free? I was under the logical impression that only the 19's were free. But that would be a pleasant surprise.

Hmmm....BMW was doing a free M-sport promo where the $3300 cost of M-Sport was waived. I never heard the 303's were in that promo though. They are a $1300 premium option. That would be a nice free upgrade for the 303's.

M Package was free as a promo on the '13 7's (not sure if it carried into 14), but you still normally have to pay another $1200 or so for the 20" option. It seems like my dealer had a stockpile of 303's that are easily negotiated. If it came with a modified exhaust and an alcantara roof liner like the 6-series M sport does, I'd have given up mineral white for something else in order to get the free M sport package. Here in the US you can't get MW with the M sport package which is weird, because it sounds like you can in Canada. The non-M 19" base wheels are pretty plain. I drove around on them for a day and they made the car look kinda weird. The 252s should have become the standard 19 in my opinion.

No MW on msport in Canada. Tried on my 535 and it wasn't available. Same thing when I got my 7.

I feel sorry for all my fellow man, rich or poor. For example, the anxiousness felt from rushing to the airport to avoid missing a plane is the same for a rich person in First class and a poor person in Coach class. Everyone has problems - they just differ.

If you ask most people here, I think you'd find that at some point in time, they had to make a choice between a 7 series, S class, Audi A8, etc and had conflicting thoughts. It probably felt similar to someone needing to choose between a Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. Just reading Adam's first post, I can imagine what he had to go through - car, colors, options - and all right at the dealership. On the last day of the quarter. That pressure is very real.
I had a good chuckle with that first paragraph.

And in all seriousness, everything in life is relative to what you have seen, lived and experienced. I am the first to admit that I live in a bubble and that I have a tremendous amount of respect for those that live through and survive extreme poverty and trauma. They are stronger in my opinion as I would not be able to go through or deal with half of the **** out there.

I am thankful for everything I have every single day.

Feeling a little "touchy feely" today lol

That was my impression as well. But post #46 says otherwise. I'm just trying to get clarification.
