Do you know if Elektra ever stopped by Port of San Diego before arriving at Port Hueneme?

WW site has been updated. Mine was "Booked" and "Received at Terminal" for the Tongala along with a LOT of other vehicles. Just waiting for the status to officially change to "Loaded on Vessel".

Good deal! How are you checking? I put my vin in the cargo ID and I get nothing... You can see not only yours but others too? I must be doing something wrong as I only get "no records found".....

That's Great!!

My car was picked up by Waggoners Trucking on the 15th and is expected to arrive at the dealership tomorrow. Interestingly, according to the 800 number the car is still at Bremerhaven waiting for a shipping vessel!!

Well, I called the 800 number again this morning. I explained that I was told my car was in the VPC last Thursday morning and asked if they could give me an update. The lady told me my car just entered the VPC last night from customs. So, clearly I got bad information last week. I'm not sure where the disconnect was, but I clearly was told it was in the VPC. Anyway, I'm being told the 24th which is Sunday. I hope they are over estimating. It seems excessive to have my car for 5 more days when it only needs a 60 mile trip to my dealer.... And of course I'm out of town the 23rd and 24th....doing the Mario Andretti driving experience at Texas Motor Speedway outside of DFW.... So, on the one hand that will be awesome as I'll be doing 160+ into a 20 degree banked corner... On the other hand, my daily driver will be sitting at my dealer all alone...

Your car is at least in the VDC now. Mine is still showing "DISCHARGED" on the WW site and the automated BMW toll free number is still saying my "vehicle is in transit". It's looking very likely that i won't get my car till next month.

Call the 800 number press 0 then at next prompt press 1. That will get you to a live person who can give you updated info. I'm willing to bet they cleared all ED cars thru customs yesterday. I bet you're in the same spot as me.

I did talk to a live person eventually. The only thing he could tell me was my car is at the port.

Apparently, it is not unheard of for an ED vehicle to remain in customs for more than a week. It's "only" been five days since it was unloaded so the wait continues.

I guess what confuses me is this. Wouldn't you think the a standard procedure to handle the customs be to do them en masse together. I mean, on a ship of a few hundred cars, you've got what, 15-20 ED on their at a time? MAX....

So, what they decided to clear part of the ED's and save the rest for next week to look at? I mean nothing surprises me with government employees, but seriously that is just dumb...

Common sense standard procedures are probably not applicable when dealing with the government. Who knows what's going on in the customs. May be they got a ****load of bananas to check.

My vehicle is in Dione Leader as well. I wonder why they made a stop at San Diego instead of going straight to Port Hueneme. Per San Diego Port schedule, it looks like they are departing around 5:00PM to Port Hueneme. I guess I'll be seeing my car sometime next week.

Bremerhaven to California (waiting at the port)

For those still waiting at the port in Bremerhaven, Pheonix Leader has arrived in port. Best of luck!
