DSC Question

So, I've read many threads on DSC, but I am still confused(mainly because I'm not getting the same issues as other people). The INDY told me that during a scan test of my vehicle, they were unable to talk to the DSC Module. I went on I-Drive and was able to shift from "active" to "not active" and it works(DTC as well). So I'm looking for any ideas. My first thought is......the INDY didn't know how to do a scan test-but they are a reputable shop. My second question is.....is it possible for the DSC module to die even though I have no indications of it dying? I'm totally confused. Any response will be appreciated.

Whats the problem then? Its not broken. Tell the Indy to get a better scan tool next time and stop trying to rip people off...

I would agree.

If the system is functioning normally (try putting your foot down when its wet and your at a standstill see if the little light flashes and it stops you wheelspining if you want to be sure) then there is no problem.

You should also get a dash message if its failed but I guess there are rare situations in which that may not happen.

99% its the garage.

Thanks for responding Piers1989. I will try to do that the next time it rains. I definitely do not have a message on my dash about it.

You don't have to wait till it rains. It should be able to spin off the line if you just floor it from a stand still.
