Washington Redskins

I agree with our Native American population---I am highly insulted by the racially charged name of the Washington Redskins.
One might argue that to name an athletic sports team after Native Americans would exalt them as warriors, but nay nay....

We must be careful not to offend, and in the spirit of political correctness and courtesy, we must move forward.

Let's ditch The Kansas City Chiefs, The Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians. If your shorts are in a wad because of the reference the name Redskins makes to skin color, then we need to get rid of the Cleveland Browns.

The Carolina Panthers obviously were named to keep the memory of the militant Blacks from the 60's alive. Gone. Offensive to us white folk.

The New York Yankees offend the Southern population. Do you see a team named for the Confederacy? No! There is no room for any reference to that tragic war between the states that cost this country so many young men's lives.

Besides, the South shall rise again!!

I am also offended by the blatant references to the Catholic religion among our football team names. Totally inappropriate to have the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Angels or the San Diego Padres. The fact that there are birds on their shirts does not protect either the Arizona or the St. Louis Cardinals---gone!

Then there are the team names that glorify criminals who raped and pillaged as their way of life. We are talking the horrible Oakland Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Pirates!

Now, let us address those teams that clearly send the wrong message to our children---and it is all about the children.

The Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Rams--promote gay men. Wrong message to our children.

The San Diego Chargers promote irresponsible spending habits. Wrong message to our children.

The New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants promote obesity--a growing childhood epidemic. Wrong message to our children.

The Cincinnati Reds promote downers/barbiturates. Wrong message to our children.

The Milwaukee Brewers---well, that goes without saying.... Wrong message to our children.

So, there you go. We need to support any legislation that comes out to rectify this travesty, because the government will likely become involved with this issue, as they should. A high priority directly behind efficiently managing our country's health care. Amen.

Oops, looks like i bought M-pedal set from e-bay also... wasn't 100% serious about that and thought someone would bid higher, but looks like not.

Shouldn't see stuff in e-bay after having beer.
Hope i didn't buy very much more.

Instead of creating new thread, I'll just ask this here. What are your opinions on wheel spacement? Do you like wheels to hide in the wheel well, or maybe have the edge of the wheel match edge of quarter panel?

I have 19x9.5 ET35 with 20 spacers in the rear. Wheel edge matches edge of quarter panel. On front I have 19x8.5 with 20mm spacers and wheel hides 5mm into wheel arch, and I am pretty happy with it.
Not sure about the rears. The spacement doesn't bother me, but I think maybe 15mm in rear would work better. On other hand I can try installing thicker tires because wheels look too small for wheel arches.
So, I am looking for opinions of others to maybe help me decide what I want to do.

Nag Nag Nag

An attorney arrived home late, after a very tough day trying
to get a stay of execution. His last minute plea for
clemency to the governor had failed and he was feeling worn
out and depressed.

As soon as he walked through the door at home, his wife
started on him about, 'What time of night to be getting
home is this? Where have you been? Dinner is cold and
I'm not reheating it'. And on and on and on.

Too shattered to play his usual role in this familiar
ritual, he poured himself a shot of whiskey and headed off
for a long hot soak in the bathtub, pursued by the
predictable sarcastic remarks as he dragged himself up the
stairs.

While he was in the bath, the phone rang. The wife answered
and was told that her husband's client, James Wright,
had been granted a stay of execution after all. Wright would
not be hanged tonight.

Finally realizing what a terrible day he must have had, she
decided to go upstairs and give him the good news..

As she opened the bathroom door, she was greeted by the
sight of her husband, bent over naked, drying his legs and
feet.

'They're not hanging Wright tonight,' she said.

He whirled around and screamed, 'FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
WOMAN, DON'T YOU EVER STOP?!'

The Irish Wedding

A huge fistfight broke out at the Cavanaugh-Clancy wedding, resulting in all participants going to the local jail, where they appeared before the magistrate.

"I`d like the Best Man to stand up, identify himself, and explain to the Court what happened here", said the judge.

The Best Man stood up...."My name is Sean Kelly, your Honor....after the bride and groom were pronounced man and wife, I asked the bride to dance with me....she did, and when the band played the next song, we continued dancing, and then continued into the third song, at which point, the groom leaped over the table, and gave the bride a fierce kick in the crotch".

"My God, that must have hurt !" grimaced the judge.

"HURT ????" cried Sean, "It broke three of me fingers !!!"

New (Bosch) MAF for 14! (Includes delivery from Germany) Ebay rules!

Not like there's something wrong with my MAF now, but felt like trying my luck, when it was so cheap in that auction.

Nice!
EVERYTHING is possible to DIY, it's just question of how far can YOU go.

Maybe i'm still more comfortable working with metal, and i'm not pro even in that.

This is hardly off-topic, but interesting nonetheless.
It is possible to lower all windows, just like you would with a remote key by holding unlock button, by inserting a key into driver's door, turning counter-clockwise, and holding it.
Magically, all windows lower just like with a remote. Didn't think it would work with physical key.

Why is it strange? In fact the only way to undo that (lock doors, close moonroof, close windows) is with the physical key.

You can also have the close by remote feature turned on with a coding program. I'll crack my windows on a hot summer day but then the afternoon tstorms come. So it can be nice to be able to just push a button without leaving the building.

This is completely insane. They already have episode of 4.
Watch it, and try to tell me it is not impressive.

Note to admin/moderator: The plugin that inserts youtube videos doesn't work with https links. Any chance to have it register https link as well?
