7 previous OWNERS?!

Hey guys, I have a question here on a 2007 M6 with 41,000 miles. My brother is looking at these cars, and came across this one. It is in good condition, has an after market exhaust installed that i noticed, kind of a bummer. What im a little more curious about is the Car Fax Report. I looked into it and found this car was owned by 7 others. First from Florida, then Iowa, then Ohio. Is this a bad sign, or did 7 people truly get bored of the M6. Any thoughts would be great!! Are these just experied leases, or could this show a tall tale of something being wrong with the engine. The Vin number is... WBSEH93537CY2311

1. SMG. Already asking for trouble there.

2. No warranty. Does your brother want to pay 10-15K when the SMG fails? Or 3-4K for a new clutch?

*edit* you didn't specifics if it's SMG or not and I'm assuming it is.

3. 7 owners within 40K miles is much too high and there must be a latent issue with the car.

4. 7 previous owners.

5. The car has been through 7 owners.

6. 7 owners.

7. Owners.

Mein Auto:
Lease returns will commonly show 2 states, that's not unusual and should show on Carfax. Probably a fleet owner, then 2 year leases after that, it adds up.

Unless the car has CPO with a couple years left you should stay far far away! The maintenance is already going to cost, not to mention the tires! No need to add costly repairs on top.

If it's haunted then it's ok, no worries on fixing expense, 7 owners can just make logical sense.

I checked into it further, there was a total of 4 drivers, two of them leased the car. 7 people did own the cars, but that's because of the dealerships it's been too.

I was going to say, typically CarFax will show a lot more "owners" than it has actually had. Every time it hits a dealership it will look like a new owner. If it only has 40k miles it'll be much cheaper to get an aftermarket warranty. Generally the price of the warranty goes up significantly at 50k miles and again at 70k miles.

We found a loaded M6 with 21k miles, 1 owner, very happy. My local BMW dealer is getting the car. If all goes well, I'll post some pics in a couple of weeks. Thanks for turning me off that 7 owner bull ****.
