Carbon Fiber Hood

I've been mulling over the possibility of buying a carbon fiber hood to replace my original. What do you guys think? Worth the money? Attractive or Ugly? Is there a significant difference in weight? If anyone here has a carbon fiber hood, could you share your first hand experience? (is this a DIY install, is there fitment issues, does it require any special maintenance?) Thanks in advance for the replies guys!
