I had this problem a month ago when it was -30. I called BMW roadside assistant and they sent someone over. I was not home but the guy gave my car a jump and when i got back i took a short hour drive around the city just to get the battery charging. I believe it's your battery. If you do alot of short driving, maybe there isn't enough charge in your battery and given the cold weather, it just weakens your battery even more. I got some advice to buy battery chargers for the car at the local department store for $50-100. Keep the battery charging over night and you shouldn't have this kind of problem again. Hope this helps, Good Luck!
