7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

It kind of works, but before it shows image it is fuzzy, navigation does not show at start. Then the picture shows up. The problem is that it does not switch back to navigation, it is stuck on freeze frame when I start to drive. Naviks gives good directions at the beginning for DVD harness. When it comes to the relay, they really dropped the ball. I unplugged the relay because my reverse light bulb kept coming on. I need help!!

Everything is working. You put car in reverse and camera turns on. You have to put screen on navigation to get full screen. Guess you didn't watch the video

I almost bought the same one for $30 from China, on eBay. The seller told me it would not fit my car so I got a refund.

I have a back up license plate camera on my 06 750li came with car when I purchased it from the used care dealership never worked since I purchased the car. The dealer referred me to a car audio shop that's out of business that supposedly did the install. I'm not sure if I have one of the navitek units mentioned in this post or if they just did an install like this youtube video?

Either way my camera doesn't work when the car is initiated into reverse the screen goes black shows camera input, but no video so I'm assuming the external camera is no longer working. I've searched the internet for a similar camera and have not been able to find one, but my real concern is where would they have put the navitek unit in my car if I had one and if I don't how'd they do the install and would it for sure be the camera and if it's just the camera is it pretty simple to just buy a new cam and just swap it out and mount since all the wires are already seemingly ran? Thanks let me know it bothers me the camera isn't working.

This is what is on the dvd side of my car inside the compartment I am not sure which one could be the unit I am going to also take pictures tomorrow of the right side wiring to see if maybe there's anything anyone notice out of the ordinary that can pinpoint on to how this camera was run, because I really don't know. I'll also take a pic of the style of camera tomorrow too. Thanks.

You need to remove your Trunk panels to find
the item that was used for the rear camera .
It might be that Blue item you can kind of see
beneath your L7 ...

you need to find out what was used .
we can't help you , we did not do the install ,
so we don't know what the problem is .
It could be something as simple as a wire
cut or unplugged , Than again it unit/item
originally used might have been removed .
