Licence Plate LED's (02-05) T10 bulb type - DIY

I wanted to replace my T10 bulbs in my (02) to LED for the rear licence plate but wasn't happy with the types of LED's that were available for making it as bright as possible.

They either only gave a single LED pointing towards the plate, multiple LED's but pointing in the wrong directions (not towards the plate)....or they just didn't fit at all.

I ended up going for this 4 LED type (error free) here but a few minor modifications are required to make them fit perfectly :

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T10-501-W5...item2a15e9d45e

I bought these (but the problem is they point the wrong way in the holder - sideways- not towards the plate) :

1st you need to get a hack saw and cut the connector in half then cut another little notch in it in the middle and resolder it on sideways like this (only 1 solder connections are needed on each side and the solder is enough for it to be solid) :

Next you cut 2 little notches in the side of the bulb holder so the circuit board fits in properly and you should end up with this :

Then finally pop it back into the car and it'll look like this :

The difference between the old T10 bulb and the new LEDs is huge...

I really like the end result, but way too much cutting and hacksawing for me - I have no skillz when it comes to this sort of stuff...I will surely screw something up.

Is there an aftermarket bulb that is plug and play with no errors?
