Popoemt, do you go to a range in SF? There is one here in Fairfield that is OK, the one in Denver was awesome!
I've used Fairfield PD's range (although I'm not sure it's open to the public), I've also used the range in Vacaville at Guns Fishing and Other Stuff, I wasn't greatly impressed with guns and stuff, especially since they don't allow holster draws and anything other than one round every 2 seconds is deemed a double tap and they tell at you... Silly....

That's the one I was talking about...right off of Alamo Dr (not impressed). Sorry I said Fairfield...I guess because I was thinking Vacaville only had the one off of Elmira Rd/leisure town rd (I had a brain fart). You are probably right about the Fairfield PD not being open to the public.

For those of you who love Glock, I would always caution whoever gets one to understand the guns are fairly wide (small hands are hard to fit around a Glock) and the only real "safety" on a Glock is your finger, hence the need for a gun safety class, and to remember only point a gun at what you are willing to kill.

That said I have a .45 Kimber (love love love that gun), and a .40 Glock 27.

Masoe... I'm surprised you got CCW's for you and the wife, those are veryyyyy hard to get in Cali!

Once you get away from the Bay Area, CCW's are much easier to get. Sac County, Placer County and many other more rural counties are "Shall Issue". The LA area is very tough as well...part of the reason there was lawsuit filed I believe.

You all must be a lot less paranoid than I, because given the current political climate in this country which is akin to the last days of the Weimar Republic, the last thing I would do if I owned any guns (and I don't) is advertise them on the internet.

My guns are all registered, they already know. As for the others, theirs a good chance they are registered, many owners have CCW's and the list goes on as far as being linked to fire arms. If our "current politacal climate" wanted to use the internet to find people with guns, I think they would start with the hundreds of gun forums that are all over the internet.

As for the bad guys looking for victims on the internet, pretty sure their going to pass on the people that can clearly defend themselves and their families. They're looking for the people that are going to rely on 9-1-1.
