Coding and Windows Surface Pro

Hi all
Can anyone tell me if the surface pro is ok to use for coding, I am thinking of investing in one?

You will need an Ethernet port which my Surface Pro does not have built in.. There are some USB to Ethernet adaptors, but I am not sure if they would work in this application. I don't have enough storage in my Pro for the size of files needed for coding.

Would I be correct in thinking that the docking station has an ethernet connection?

That might work. I haven't seen a docking station for the Surface, and also keep in mind you'll need 45GB storage just for the program requirements for coding. Some may be able to shrink the program down some, but I never figured out how to do it. I probably have some files I don't need.

You could store the files on an SD card like I do. I have an SSD in my laptop and don't want to waste that much space. I installed e-sys as normal and keep the data on a 64GB SD drive that I use for other things as well. I've never had an issue to date.
