Manhattan or Brooklyn Dealership?

I am looking for a certified pre-owned 3 series. It seems that the vehicles in Brooklyn dealership are in general cheaper than those in the Manhattan dealership. I understand there are differences on the mileages and packages for each car. But is this true in general?

Manhattan. Allot of ppl in the city lease so the mileage is pretty low. BK life quality is the worst I would stay away from them

Manhattan or Brooklyn Dealership?

I wouldn't say Brooklyn cars are worse but the Brooklyn dealer is terrible! I went to the Brooklyn dealership and they wouldn't help me. I also live in Brooklyn. The salesman didn't think I was serious. Granted I was a walk in and didn't have a appointment. But you should treat all potential clients the same way. Next week I paid cash for my x3 at PACE BMW. If you don't buy a car from life quality don't expect a loaner car period! I only live about 4miles from them and I had an issue with my car being stuck in park in my backyard where I park and they wouldn't send someone to manual override the car into neutral. 5 tow truck drivers didn't know how to place it in neutral. Car was stuck in park but the car would start, find out later there was an issue with the transmission. After a lot of back and forth pace bmw finally sent someone to my house. BMW of manhattan is also corporate owned and they offered to send someone to my house after my issue made it to the corporate office. But by then it was already resolved.

On another issue I had a flat and went to the Brooklyn service dept as I have the tire insurance. Told them not to wash the car, hot girl who works there does the walk around and then drops her clipboard on my hood! to take a sheet of paper and writes NO WASH. After 4 hours!! of waiting for 1 tire change I look at my car and of course it's washed and my driver side carpet is soaking wet. At that point I didn't care anymore and just drove away as I was already super late for work. But I'll never get service done by them again.

Life Quality in BK $uck$ Their customer service and sales rep are idiots. Didn't give me the time of day when I walked in. I was looking to trade my Cayenne GTS for a X5, but they didn't even ask me if I needed help. Walked out and went to Jack Daniels in NJ. Very nice dealer reps.

Parts department in BK are idiots too. They ordered a part for me that I paid for in advance. 2 weeks later-no call. I walk in to the parts department and my part has been sitting there for days. F'ing jerks.

Yep they're the worst took my car their for service, they wanted for me to pay $350 just to look at the car. Then try charge me for the repair that was cover under the warranty. So I pick my car up 2days later service rep called and ask when will u be picking up my call(ignore it send it VM) 2 weeks later same rep call telling me that being charge because I fail to pick my car up. In this time my car was fix. Wouldn't not recommend to even get a free wash at their facility. Oh yeah sales department just the same you walk in and all the sales rep just sit their on those PC.

Bought my car at Rallye BMW in Long Island.. best car buying experience i ever had.. If you go there ask for George Javier. My car is slightly modified..no questions ask, when i recently did an oil change. They did not wash my car as per request.

Is George the SA at the service center? Did they do anything special besides not give u a car wash?

For service you can ask for David ONeil.. and I only went for oil change, so don't think they needed to do anything special.

If I were you I'd look for a CPO that spent its life in a quiet suburb in NJ, CT, or LI. I somehow get the feeling that NYC cars are beat to death by other bad drivers, horrible streets, and merciless taxis (EXCEPT those owned by members of this forum!).

i agree with this. Though the cpo cars likely look good, i am willing to bet both bumpers have been painted and probably some dent removal on either side too. Am i generalizing, sure but i am probably more right than wrong.

Take an hour or so drive down the NJ Tnpke to BMW of Mt. Laurel in NJ. Great sales team and their service team is the best.
- IMO.
