M235i ED Order Placed!

Lease signed and order submitted for a May 26th Euro Delivery for my M235!

Estoril Blue exterior, Black Dakota interior, plus Cold Weather, Premium, and Tech packages.

Ended up agreeing to $1k below ED MSRP thanks to College Grad incentive, which the dealer included even though the incentive can't normally be applied to EDs. 15k miles/year, $1k order deposit up front, and got 60% residual and .0013 MF.

Bimmerfest forums have been a godsend for researching this purchase, so thanks to all my fellow 2er lovers for the help!

I'll be posting pics and reviews during my trip to Munich

May I ask what's your monthly payment without tax be? I am looking for a similar setup.

Congrats CNelson!

I share your excitement, ordered my M235i on 02-17 (Presidents Day) with lots of presidents down, European Delivery is on 04-23 at the Welt and it's expected to be home and in my garage sometime early June!

I'm waiting to sign the loan papers until USAA has their auto discounts in place, they claim since it's a new model, additional web site programming is required, should be an extra $1k off the Euro Delivery discount and BMWFS 3.19% interest.

Can I tell you about my first BMW
Mineral White Metallic exterior, Terra Dakota Leather interior, Cold Weather, Technology, Driver Assistance, and Premium Packages, Harmon Kardon audio, alarm, and concierge services.

If you like, I'm happy to update you on what to expect in Munich with pictures and need to know things.

Now to find a bag that can hold carpeted floor mats, trunk mat, and all the auto parts I can strip off by hand, then explaining it in customs and TSA.

Final Price?

According to my local dealer, they claim there's little to nothing regarding profit in European Delivery sales, it's more like a credit towards their annual volume goals.

My price was MSRP (w/options) $52,050.
Subtract the European Delivery Discount: -$2,965.
and the projected USAA discount of -$1,000.
Currently there are no discounts other than preferred interest rates that I'm aware of.

Since I haven't signed the loan contract due to awaiting a VIN number, I'm expecting to pay: $48,085 before down payment and applicable sales taxes.

On a wonderful note, I got approved at 3.19% from BMWFS which happens to be their lowest interest rate for 72 months.

So if nothing changes, I've committed to putting $8,085 down and paying all sales taxes in cash.
Financing $40,000 for 72 months will be $611 a month.

I'm hoping someone can possibly provide a better price for the vehicle or additional discounts I have yet to find.

Hope this helps, April 23rd can't get here soon enough :-)

Have you contacted any of the dealers that are sponsor of Bimmerfest to see if they can get you a better deal?

Yes & No.

Yes, I contacted a second distant dealer who's information was very close to what my local dealer stated. The "distant dealer" claimed there is some profit, but nothing compared to what they get for selling a (on lot) vehicle.

No, I did not contact any Bimmer dealers and this is why, when ordering a car, I was told it must ship to the ordering dealer at completion.
Then for an additional charge they re-ship it to your local dealer for titling and delivery. Shipping charges and second delivery fees ranged from $500 to $1000 which eats any additional discounts and further delays delivery.

Last option was to order from a Bimmer dealer and drive it home a few states away, however additional taxes, titling, hotels, food, and gas eats the discount and takes time depending on distance.

As excited as I am, the car rocks and I'm still getting a discount on it.
One more added bonus, I'm a Flight Attendant for one of the big three airlines, so round-trip travel to Munich will cost roughly $98 standby.

Promise to post pictures and share the experience

That isn't a AA lounge, that belongs to Amex... I prefer LH;s FCT in FRA...

who said anything about an AA lounge? Centurion lounge is open to platinum card holders regardless of the airline you travel on...point is, there is one in LAS and DFW.
