We sell those same ones for the same price but if you call in, we'll probably beat that price - talk to Tim.

I thought I found a seller on eBay but he's very ignorant.I asked him a simple question and said I will test the bulbs wattage and he got all but hurt. He goes by the seller name bulbs_and_performance there customer service skills killed a deal for me if anybody cares. People will take your money and don't care home they treat you. Just a heads up

You can't test the wattage (current draw) on LED bulbs.

The nomenclature is a mess, like a fluorescent bulb, it has 65-watt brightnest of incadescent but only draw 11W!. so if you check the wattage you will return all of those FL bulbs cause they don'w draw 65W?

Same as LED, in the first generation of LED chip, a 5-watt produce about 100-110 flux/lm. so it's standard practice to say an LED that produce 130 flux/lm is 8Watt, honestly it's really about 3-watt power draw (900mA at 3.2V), but the technology of LED has advance so much no tmuch of that 3W is dissipated as heat, at least not as much as it used to

So yes, the seller will not response thinking you probably will return them since DTEC won't draw 64-watt each side. If it did, it'd melt my headlamp housing in summer!

Question: can I replace the day time running lights (DRL) bulbs with these? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Will that give me more brightness and not give error codes? Thanks!

Wait a minute, you have an 09 5, those are not the bulbs that go there. You have xenon correct? If you want angel eyes, look at my previous post. If you want expensive ones that do the same thing as mine, get the DTEC or LUX ones.

Thanks for the answers! Recently my passenger DRL bulb went out and I replaced it with the standard H8 bulb. While browsing online for H8 bulbs, I noticed the PIAA, which seems to be brighter.

My goal is not to get the brightest angel eyes--rather, I want a slight upgrade from OEM. It seems like the PIAAA H8 should go right into the DRL, no? Thanks in advance!

PIAA staying with Halogen bulb is like Kodak staying with 35mm dark-room film, they'll become the dinosaur of the lighting future.

Most luxury cars even offer full LED headlamps now (yes it's $1800 option on BMW starting on 2013 model).
You can't pump brightness into halogen bulb without risking heat damage, the OEM H8 bulb is 35W rating (I heard people putting in 55W). Go get the Chinese made H8 LED like 20W etc, only $50 shipped nowadays, I consider this like Samsung Galaxy S3 among smart-phones.

If you want iPhone5S equivalent of smart phone DTEC H8 LED bulbs is, IMHO they will be replaced by iPhone6 soon though

I had the Umnitza ICE Lite LEDs.

http://www.umnitza.com/umnitza-ice-l...65-p-5838.html

I paid $80 + $10 shipping for them about 2 years ago, but it looks like they're down to $35 (for the pair). I liked them, but one of them started flickering at start up. At the time I was on a "back to factory" kick, so I put the stock bulbs back in. I might try them again to see if the flickering was just caused by a loose connection.
