Re: BMW F30 3 Series Sedan Frequently Asked Questions - Read Me

I got the 2014 328i with navigation, heated seats
, moon roof and lighting package with alpine white exterior and black interior. Very nice standard features too such as the autodimming mirrors, power folding, dark burl walnut wood which looks better than I thought and standard sport steering

Will a BMW dealership change the default function on the Auto/Stop/Start to the OFF default? If so, do they charge for it and does anyone know how much it will cost?

They can program it so it remembers the last setting. This is how they are shipping now. IDK if they charge to change it on an older car. Just call a few dealers and ask.

Unless something changed, they were doing it one time for free.

Clear Coat Films

my new 328i arrives in a couple weeks and I wanted to get recommendations about which clear coat films are best? What areas are best to film? Front bumper? Hood? Partial hood? Etc.

I thought 3M had a good product but the dealer switched to something called xpel ? That has a 10 yr warranty? Recommendations welcomes. Thanks

I have a stupid question, but I still want to post here. =)
How to tell if you got the Xenon lights? When I pick up the car, it come with the lightning package (Xenon). But, how come my head light is still some how yellowish? Does Xenon light suppose to be white or even a little blueish???
Can some one please help to answer my question? or is there anyone having the same question as me?
Thank you guys!

F30 BMW 3 Series halogen vs xenon pictures. Does your car have angle eyes? If so you have xenon. Xenon should be white-ish but not blue. Blue it the worst color for headlights.

If they have the projectors they're xenon. If you want to be 100% post a picture and we can tell you.

How can I upgrade my amber lights on my 328 to the angel light version of the 335 without getting an error message?

You can update your halogen headlights to xenon, if that is what you're asking. There is a DIY write up, it runs $2500 from what I remember.
