Smile I'm Back! Can't shake the bug

I'm back! Some of the longer term members will probably remember me and after 8 years I've got a Z3 again.

8 years ago I sold my 2000 M Coupe to buy a Lotus Elise, which was a great fun car but I ended up selling after a couple of years as I just wasn't using it. The Elise was always more of a toy and I treated it like a super car, which meant I rarely ever drove it.

I always regretted selling my M Coupe and a few years back I bought a newer 2007 M Coupe. While still a great car it lacked what I enjoyed about the E36/8. The Z4 based car was very smooth, very refined and it never really managed to excite me as much as the Z3 did. I traded it in on a 2011 Subaru STI Wagon to try something different (and to stay in the 300hp+ club.)

Two weeks ago I stumbled across a M Roadster on Craigslist and I knew I had to check it out, I wasn't even looking for a new car. The car was in Phoenix Yellow and I knew if I didn't jump on the opportunity I'd probably never find one again. The inspection checked out and the car was very well maintained, it needs a few things but nothing major and was in great condition. A few days later it was in my garage.

I'm proud to say that I'm back in the Z3 family with this 2001 BMW M Roadster in Phoenix Yellow with hard top.

Congrats...nice car that apparently was owned by someone who took good care of it....no snow and no rust to worry about in Phoenix......used to live there. Now you can once again drive a BMW Z3...a real "driving machine"

As a new fellow Canuck on here, I have to agree that is a great looking car!
I'm just starting my hunt for something very similar...
