passenger door wont open with remote X5

After one mechanic was working on my car door ( he change lights color) I cant open or lock this door any more.
When i push button on key its lock/open all other doors. I can lock or open this door manually (push pin, and use handle to open).
Light in door only turn on when any other door is open.
Any suggesting?
Thank you.

I've got the same problem. After removing door panel it looks like something internal to lock actuator is busted, because I can see something move when both lock and unlock buttons are pressed, but the door will only lock, it wont unlock.

Did you find the solution? I have a similar problem after my husband removed the door panel to work on the mirror.

If the door unlocks Ok from the inside manually (aka pull flipper once to unlock) and opens fine from the inside and the outside, your problem is likely electrical.
There are three plugs on the door window switch, and another one on the actuator inside the door itself, underneath the unlock pin. Check to ensure all of these connectors are, well, connected.

The plug on the bottom of the actuator inside the door is a pain to reconnect. If all plugs are connected, check all of your fuses. In fact, you might want to do that first.

If that doesn't solve the problem, the issue is likely the actuator itself. They fail. Symptoms: the door will be slow to unlock for a while; there will be a delay until the door pin pops up, etc. Some times it will work, sometimes it wont. Then one day, it will just stop working altogether. A new actuator is about $150 and an hour or two to install. I always replace the actuator AND the "bowden cable" to the door opener/flapper. The cable often breaks at the actuator end.

Good luck and post back with what you find.
