Z3 1.9 air filter housing

I want to replace the air filter in my 1.9 L Z3 roadster. Should be simple, right?
Even found a thread with instructions and a picture supposedly showing the four retaining clips.
Trouble is, I can't seem to find the fourth clip (not shown, but with an arrow indicating direction)

I've looked and can't seem to find this clip.

I've found the three that are clearly visible, but where is the fourth one?

There's one clip on each side of the box. You're probably not seeing the one under the silencer (orange arrow at top of pic).

The gray foam inside the box has probably disintegrated by now so be prepared to vacuum out the mess.

The four clip locations are shown by red arrows in step 1. Keep feeling for the one you can't find:

My foam was disintegrating. Some was at the bottom of the housing, and some must have been sucked into the intake. New foam is available, but I see no point to having it. For perfect vacuuming, remove the plastic meshes that retain the foam.

Thanks guys. The pic contained in the thread linked by Vintage was especially helpful as it seems to pinpoint the location of the other clip. Thanks also for the tips about cleaning out old foam,.

Will give it a go tomorrow,.

Well, I'm stumped. Still can't find the fourth clip. Felt under the silencer to no avail.
Looked with flashlight everywhere.
Does the clip have the same configuration as the other three?
Can you tell me which edge or side of the silencer to look?
Thanks
Al

Yes its a pain. Has anyone had a problem with the foam turning to dust? I had to take a air hose to it and blow it out.
Thanks

Yep, the foam in mine was falling apart also. I took Vintage42's advise and removed the plastic holding frame and vacuumed out the old foam. Can't tell any difference now that it's no longer in there.
