E53 Rear Washer Problem

Hi All!
Glad to be a part of the community! My 2004 E53 rear washer doesn't pump any fluid. I can hear a noise when I press the washer stalk forward and the wiper moves in conjunction but no fluid appears. Is this a broken pump? The nozzle seems to be clear of any blockage.
I would really appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
Thanks team!

Swap the rear window washer pump with your good wind shield pump for trouble shooting. If it works then it is a bad pump.

Hi
Your head lamp washer pump(if you have one) is larger than the other two you can tell. The other two (wind shield and rear window pump are identical. Pull the electric plug in one of them. And try your wind shield washer, if it works then you have disconnected the rear pump. If it doesn't, the rear pump is the other pump. Confused?!:

The pumps themselves were leaking? Can you describe the leak? Was teh outlet cracked or something? My E46 has a leak in the washer system somewhere and it's driving me nuts. The tank isnt cracked, the pump grommet is new, but it still leaks.

The pump has a small rectangular "weeping hole" on its body. When it wears out internally it would leak out of that hole. Time to replace.

Disconnected the pumps one by one to ensure I had the right pump and once identified the correct pump replaced it with a new pump (12 eBay) and now works although it doesn't "mist" spray like the front but at least it now works, saved me a few quid on garage bills I reckon!
