While that may be true, it is probably not too far off from what the X7 will look like. I mean, you can only do so much considering the front and rear are going to keep the same look as the X5.

I also think it will be a bloated X5 and that's why I used the new X5 as a base
I changed here and there few things that I don't like on the F15

Appreciate the try but I think the real final project will look a bit better. My guess on he lines of the GL. Windows look very van like and out of proportion.

You are absolutely right about the van windows appearance, I was wondering what doesn't look right
Is this better?

Its basically a stretch X5... IMO it looks out of proportion.. I think you overstretched it... If you tighten it up just a bit it might looks better..

The proportions are similar to MB GL

the windows make it look like a stretched out CRV
headlights are nice, the front is nice, it looks like it carries a big engine
looks decent.

I think you're 90% spot on. Look what people said when the F15 came out? "it's a larger X3..blah blah blah." Well, they're right. It' does look similar to the X3, and will be even more so when the new X3 comes out. This is because BMW is trying to keep a similar theme with their X-cars. With this in mind, what do you think the X7 will look like when it comes out? A larger X5!...which this is. And of course, people are going to bitch and moan that it looks too similar to the X5...it's a larger version of X5. And they're all going to be correct, because that's what BMW is going to do to keep the similar X-car theme.

Z.

Well stated Zipforia, you are dead on point. The similarities are going to be there and it is not going to be a completely remade vehicle with no resemblance to the current X line. People will moan and complain initially and get used to it over time, you gave the perfect example regarding the similarities between the X3 and X5 :thumb up:

Definately agree. I might consider it when it comes time to get rid of the F15.

I hope it will have the diesel X7 xdrive35d to compete with MB GL Bluetec
