my understanding:
Sport + partially deactivates Dynamic Traction Control. DTC is on all BMW's.
DHP has other affects on the chassis that are ever-present regardless of mode.
DHP will let you configure the Sport mode (via iDrive) to tell Sport Mode to affect either Chassis, Drive Train, or BOTH.

Ductordoc - My M-sport comes with Sport + and I do not have DHP.

Z.
I noticed that myself, can it be coded not to switch off DSC?

3. X-Line Mode (Off Road Prowess)

4. Eco Mode (Tampon Wearing Sissyness Driving)

My 0.2 cents

So apparently if you select Msport, the Sport+ mode is added as a result of the SAT option as well.

So Sport+ works on the DTC/DSC system, steering, and SAT

With DHP, it extends those benefits to the chassis dampening as well.

Too much marketing fluff.

Dude seriously???

What's with all the acronyms!

LOL!

When buying a Bimmer nowadays one needs various courses in BMW's Codes.

I'll take a stab

DTC = Dynamic Traction Control
DSC = Dynamic Stability control
SAT = Sports Auto Trans ( comes with the "sportier" gear shifter that is symmetrical rather than the standard odd shaped shifter ) Also in my E60 the SAT had a more aggressive shifting speed...

I think BMW maybe compensating for its lack in some areas.....HA..if you know what i mean....ha.....See what I did there.....

I feel like if someone isn`t an enthusiast, they`re going to be amazed by the acronyms and actually believe the F15 is the best German 5 seater CUV outthere lol....until they try the Cayenne or an E70 X5 lol

People with Msport package and Adaptive M suspension can you tell me when you have the shifter to the left M/S mode and toggled the switch to Sport or Sport+ mode and you accelerate aggressively from a stop.. how does the transmission feel going from 1st to 2nd gear? I noticed that the gear switch is sort of harsh and abrupt... and not as smooth as if I were in comfort mode and the shifter in regular D.

I tried this today with shifter to the left M/S Mode with Sport+/Sport and it did not feel any harsh or abrupt shifts between gears... It was smooth.

Recap of all above.

Sport+ Comes with all M sport in North Am

In some markets it is a EUR300 option

It can be activated by coding, as there is nothing different about the transmission, only software difference

It shifts faster, but is also feels more abrupt (as if shifting a few under rpm too late ona stick shift transmission)

It has launch control

Thanks Matt, This is what was happening to me in my X5 when I have the shifter to S and in Sport or Sport+ when shifting fro 1st gear to 2nd gear and wondered if it was normal.

Of course we can get the Sport+ mode on any F15. Need to set the car in ECE style, edit the FA car type "KR0C" to "KR01" first, code the ICM and KOMBI with 2TB(delete 205),you will find the Sport+ come.
