Rattling Noise as I speed up

I've been hearing a rattling sound underneath my e36 as I accelerate. I got the Cat Converter checked out today because I thought that was the issue, but they said my cat is fine!

Any ideas on what it could be?

Have you checked your center support bearing? It's located in between the driveshaft. The rubber holding the bearing may be cracked and or possibly torn

You will have to provide more information if want help... Is it engine or vehicle speed sensitive? Front or rear of the car? Left out right side of the car? Dependent of driving over road surface irregularities?

The timing chain tensioner is inside the engine.

it's only when I speed up. It comes from the rear of the car on the left side(driver side) and the higher the RPM is the louder it gets. I've also now noticed that this only happens when I make a stop and then accelerate (i.e stop sign/red light) On the freeway when I've driven consistently without a stop, it doesn't make the noise. I know that because I took a late night/early morning drive with no cars around and I could clearly hear my car running smoothly with no rattling.
