been getting some paypal phishing emails lately. look real, at least initially, but 1, i do not use my phone to make purchases, and 2, did not change my password.

i forwarded them to paypals fraud email and they responded that they were all phishing attempts.

not sure if you guys are seeing anything like this or not, but the hacked email made me think about it.....

I get stuff like that constantly. PayPal can't do anything about it.. no one can really. They're easy to spot if you're used to spam though.

I have an old and well published address that receives thousands of spam emails each week. It's amusing to see what is sent to people sometimes.

The answer is....it depends. If you're running the stock 225/50 x 16 tires you'll want to start out about 45 lbs front and rear. Get some chalk and mark in couple places on each tire from the tread down onto the sidewall. You want to be scuffing off the chalk just slightly over the shoulder of the tire onto the start of the sidewall, so mark your tires each run and adjust your tire pressures until you're getting this. Make note of the pressure and that will be your starting point in the future. You may find you need to adjust up or down a couple psi from there depending on the surface and the course. On my E36 with this size Hankook RS-3s 43 psi in the front and 41 psi in the rear worked best. My cabrio with the auto tranny was probably 300-400 lbs heavier than your car so you may be able to drop a couple psi below where I was running.

Got up early and drove very, very, very far out into the country to check out a Golden Retriever breeder. They have every possible health certifications a breeder can have, so we ended up putting a deposit down on a female puppy from the dam with the calmest temperament. She's due in June and we can pick the puppy up in mid-July!

I am thinking about buying a motorcycle. This would be my first motorcycle, so any recommendations for a good cheap beginner bike?

Drove my brother's '01 GTI today, only a few blocks tho. Even with my novice manual transmission experience I liked it, haven't driven a manual in like 12 years, my mom taught me to drive when I was 13 with a small chevy pickup, back in Mexico most cars have manual transmissions so first time I drove an auto was here in the US.
That GTI feels like it has more power than my E36 at least you can feel the acceleration more in it, don't know, I'm thinking it has been tuned. I have no doubt that I might struggle in a race, lil dude has a heavy foot too, maybe heavier than me.

Neat!!!

Yes, I am glad, but it's a shame. I struggled with it for a long time, just because it still drive so incredibly well. I really wanted to fix it, but realistically, it was well beyond my abilities.

What style, and what's your height and weight?

IIRC you're a bigger guy, so the suggestions from skinny dudes like Joey won't work so well. I started on a heavy 750 and I'm still here just fine, so I'm not all about the idea that you have to start on a tiny bike with a tiny engine, as long as you are careful and respectful of the bike and the danger.

Always ride like every other vehicle on the road is actively trying to kill you.

I am 6 foot and 300 lb. I do not have a particular style picked out yet, but I know I do not want something like a Harley (though I am probably proportioned more like a Harley rider ). I was hoping for something good on gas that I could take on my hour long drive to work in the summer.

I'm with Chad, you don't have to start on a smaller slow bike. I started on a VFR700 then went to a Ninja 600, then went to a 1000cc RC51. I now have a CBR 954rr.

My first bikes weren't fast, and I didn't have them long. I got bored with them TBH.

What is your recommendation for a good cheap bike then? I do not have a real budget yet, but if I could get away with $1,000 I would be happy. After a quick CL search, that seems doable with Joey's GS500 suggestion.
