congrats on your new ride pics or it never happened

first thing u need to do is get up-to-date on the maintenance, so start reading the wiki (top right of the screen), and go through previous threads.
once everything is running perfectly, u'll barely have enough cash for gas

things u can forget about is engine mods unless u'r willing to put in $6k+, CAI is crap and exhaust is only for show.
work on some handling upgrades like tires, brakes and suspension, and some driving lessons. knowing how to drive your car very well is as good as adding 50hp
u can put in some 19" rims with the proper offset, angel eyes, window tint, M3/M-tech bumpers .... list goes on and on...

2nd what hestheone said about engine mods. I owned a 328se and thought about chipping the engine also. The cost vs BHP increase really isn't worth it.

Hez is right about cold air intakes; I have one, but I'm going to remove it soon to avoid putting more particles into the engine (there are many threads about this). They really don't do much. My signature lists my other modifications, some of which you might like. I particularly recommend the pedalbox throttle signal amplifier and putting in a differential with a shorter gear ratio (see http://www.bokchoys.com/differential/faq.htm ) You can pick up a used differential in good condition for $200 or less.

I get ideas for modifications from other people's signature lines.
