Mein Auto: no car crashed car
To anyone who owns an M5

How expensive is ot to own one, I reaaaaallyyy would like to buy one some time in the next year or so. If I wereto buy one, would I be cool with keeping say like an extra 2 grand in seperate account for maintenance costs? I could care less about insurance, insurance for me is going to be expensive anyways because I'm under 25 years old.

purchased 2006 with 76,000 miles own by Dr with every paper on work 3 months ago, WOW. my 8th bimmer and love it. Find a BMW shop and not expensive to maintain except tires. $28,000 will get you good car. $2000 is good expectation. make sure you CAN get insurance 1st

everything I've read on various BMW forums tells me they are very reliable IF you do good and regular maintenance. I know a guy in Ft. Worth that has used his as a daily driver since 2006 and hasn't had any issues but he does do a ton of preventative maintenance. I got my 2006 with 28k miles and so far its a great car!

I just got mine and so far well worth the money....I agree with the other advice, do the regular maintenance and drive it like you own it, with care!

I purchased a 2008 with 60,000 miles on it for about $30k and I'm enjoying it immensely. If you drive a lot like I do, you might as well get something you enjoy, right? I had a 5 series before and it wasn't that expensive to maintain - as long as you (and the previous owners) take care of it. It goes without saying, but make sure you check the vehicle history before you get one.
