Mein Auto:
New e36 m3 estoril/dove 5/speed

Just bought a mint looking Estoril blue with dove grey vader interior - car is mint with 50k miles - wanted to know if I should go to the $tealership or have the inspection 1 done by another local BMW guy ?

Who do you trust more? From your wording, the "Stealership" is probably not ranking very high on your trust scale. Does cost play a factor? IS one cheaper than the other? Who has the better reputation in town? All things to consider.
For me it's easy. We have an independent in town who has the pedigree, the reputation, and the best prices.
