E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

Low beam headlight not working

Hi All,

Driver side low beam headlight on my 2009 BMW 135i( I have D1S stock) is burnt so I replaced both with new D1S xenons( OSRAM 5500K). Passenger side works fine but the driver side is still not working. I tried swapping bulds & also checked fuses (62,84 & 86) they all look good.

What could be the issue ? Thanks for the help in advance.

I've moved your question over to the E82 1 series forum. You'll get more help in here.

Good luck,
Tim

Check the connection to the lamp. Corrosion is likely the problem if it isn't the lamp. Check the lamp by switching.

So the CONTROL UNIT XENON LIGHT( Part # 63117180050 ) is corroded & I checked swapping the bulbs & Control Units. It followed the control unit. Now I need to get a new one. Does anyone know of a reliable online source to buy BMW parts ?

~$500 at the dealer for a new CONTROL UNIT XENON LIGHT

Have you thought about junk yards that specialize in BMWs? They can get you the part off a wreck, and they'll even give you a warranty too!
