E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki

The old girl partially reassembled with an EMP Stewart Waterpump, ECS Tuning WP Pulley and new Wahler Thermostat.

why didn't you do the CCV delete? the success rate of the delete and bypass is higher than the replacement CCV.
I bypassed mine with a catch can and couldn't be happier with the results.

I actually will be doing that at some point. I have a catch can as well, but didn't have the necessary ancillary fittings. So I decided to install the CCV that I have bought many moons ago for the interim.

I know it's doubling the work, in a respect, but considering the fact that the hose running from the bottom of the old CCV to the dipstick tube was severed in half, I thought it sufficient to do the swap.

Will do the bypass soon enough, my friend!

Zionsville Cooling System in.... however found that they new lower coolant hose leaks when I started filling the system.... :-( Will try to source a new one ASAP!
