Question Newbie here w/ 4.6is Suspension Question

I, literally, just returned home from picking up my 2003 X5 4.6is. i'm reading thru the owner's manual as we speak. as i walked up to my new X5, the 1st thing that i noticed was that the tail end was sitting up rather high. is this somethng that i can adjust? i looked thru the owners manual and found the information about ride height adjustment, but i could not find the buttons that the manual discussed. am i missing something?

thanks in advance,
broknlgs24

when u are viewing it from the side, there is, at least, a 6" gap between the rear tires and the fender well. i've searched the forum and found that the 4.6 does not come w/ adjustable ride height, but i can not imagine that the rear is supposed to sit up that high. any suggestions?

The 4.6is does not have an adjustable ride height. the gap is there and it does look like it sits a bit high in the rear (not sure if it is 6" or not). that's all normal. there are kits out there to lower the suspension but i think it performs great the way it is.

got any pics of your 4.6?

actually, when i went out this morning, it was noticeably lower. i'm guessing that during transport, when they cranked down on it, the automatic suspension kicked in and was fighting back.

i don't have any pics yet. i'm still in the process of getting it registered and titled.

another question, any idea where i can get the smoked/tinted/black tail lights?
