Need advice on kidney grills

The time has come for me to replace my black grills. What do you think would look better with the frozen black? Matte or gloss? The matte will obviously match the cars surface but the gloss will match the side pillars and tinted windows somewhat.

Gloss for sure. The matte on matte is a good plan but if there is any gloss trim on the car whatsoever, I would suggest having the front kidney grilles be in gloss so that it matches up and looks proper. If the only piece of gloss on the car is the trim around the windows, it will stick out and look a bit funky if that's by itself. I would suggest as well that you get the fender grilles done in gloss black as well so you can have it all matching, that's what I would do:

BMW Performance Black Grilles BMW E90/E91

*Gloss Black Fender Grilles for BMW E9X M3

Hope that helps

I have not been able to find the fender grills in gloss black anywhere. When you say that do you mean the actual turn signal piece with the m3 logo that pops out or just the grill underneath it? Right now they are the stock chrome with accents with the wheels in a nice way against the frozen black of the car.

I agree with modbargains III on the front grilles but the side gilles IMO look better match painted frozen black if your car is frozen black, in his case which is a frozen white car those side gills will definetely look better in gloss but in our frozen black cars these side gilles look better match painted frozen black, you can get them at IND, at least that is what I did on my car

I wouldn't use the carbon fiber grilles on a frozen black car, the chrome black will look much nicer but that is me

Oh that's actually a customers car! I believe that's just Alpine White though, I don't really see too many Frozen White cars. Though I used to have an E36 and an E46, I've turned over to the darkside with my Widebody Mustang:

I still have a passion for BMW's of course, I always will, but modifying cars is something that I do even when I'm not working here, so I love to help guys out and make sure that the parts that are being ordered will work for their cars and will flow with their theme, just like the OP with Frozen black asking about kidney grilles and what color to do. I love doing that
