2008 M3 DCT vs 2007 328i vs 2009 335i

Assuming maintenance and conditions are identical, I'm looking at 3 options for a used car (EDITED: all 3 models are E93 convertible)

2008 M3 DCT
69k miles
$31k OTD

2007 328i Auto
55k miles
$20k OTD

2009 335i Auto
51k miles
$25.5 OTD

Which one of these would you guys prefer?

1) Have you driven an M3?

2) Why did you include an M3 and a 328i Auto as options? They aren't on the same planet, car wise.

1) I test drove it. It's definitely much faster, though not mind blowing as I used to drive a 370Z.

2) In general, I like E93 convertible. I think I care about reliability/maintenance-cost/attractiveness more so than performance. For my daily commute, I think handling won't be much of a difference. Performance is nice to have, but I don't sprint much even with my Z. M3 is definitely much sexier and eye turning.

Main concern about the M3 is the higher mileage and lack of iDrive. It's got a after-market navigation+backup camera, and some cosmetic mods like HID, angel headlight, Carbon fiber steering trim.

1) Ok. Not mind blowing. Well, 400 extra lbs of foldable roof will be hard to avoid noticing. You really need to be north of 5,000 RPM to appreciate the S65. 2008 incarnation of idrive was not that great. The 09 introduced disk-based idrive which was much improved. Angel eyes (halogen) were standard equipment. It may have been changed to Lux H8's or similar.

2) Sounds like the E93 Vert 328i is perfect for you then.

Best of luck!
