Need help with a window issue!

ok so i just picked up a 90 535i. everything is good on it except the windows won't work. the sun roof works and everything just not the windows. I have checked all fuses under the hood and under the rear seat and everything seems to be in good shape. the next thing i can think of is replacing the switches.

any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks for looking!

I take it the front seats window controls are inoperative. What about the back door controls? Is there any noise whatsoever at any window? Is the safety lock in middle of front switches depressed?

If fuses all check out good, the back switches operate the windows = bad switch in front

If fuses check out, the back switches do not work, and no noises can be heard while any switch appropriate to the window/door you are listening to is operated = ?bad control module?? (I'll let someone else chime in more exactly about this)

I want to say general module, but I'm not 100% on that.

Yes front seat switches don't work BUT the rear switches DO work.
so i will start by replacing the switches in the front. (it does look like something may have been spelt on them awhile ago.
I figured i was going to go ahead and replace them anyway i was just looking for a second opinion. thanks

With that switch, I would buy new. Never gonna know what a previous owner spilled on it.

Here ya go: BMAParts.com - your switch
