x6m towing big willie style!

Spotted this guy lugging this thing around Lake Havasu last weekend. 32ft twin engine Spectre cat. Beautiful boat, surely just a "tad" over the 6000lbs tow rating! Nice set though. Word is it was BMW factory driver Bill Auberlen.

Mein Auto: BMW X6 50i
I towed my 2500lbs boat and trailer with my X6 50i two weeks ago over a total distance of 1/4 mile or less from my driveway to the neighborhood marina for the first and only time. The X6 pulled the boat out of the water like a champ. Didn't even feel as if i had a load behind the X6. Didn't have to give it any extra gas than I do when i pull away from a stop. However, two weeks later (yesterday) my front transaxle fell apart. Coincidence? Either way I'm not hooking my boat back up to it any more. The X6 is in the garage right now pouring oil out of the front end. Hope the guy in the photos has better luck than me.

Wow, that Sucks. The gentleman in the photos is likely towing in excess of 7500lbs between Arizona and California so roughly 250 miles easy each way. He said x6m in the best tow vehicle he has ever owned.
