Passat ran me off the road into curb.

Does anyone have an older car? I used to see pics of some HEMI vehicles.

So, I was driving my 69 Camaro in my neighborhood for the first time in months. I was probably only in the car for 2 minutes. I noticed a white Passat coming down the middle of the road and not moving over. I brought my arm in, hit the gas and headed towards the 6 inch stone curb. he actually hit my mirror. I hit the curb so hard that the car bounced off and put me almost perpendicular to the opposite curb. I got out and said WTF and a few other things. He was 2 houses down by the time he was able to stop. I looked at my car first and couldn't see any damage. Even the tire and wheel looked fine.

Turns out I know the guy. Real loser. He was either on something or just heading home from work at 8am, half asleep. He said he was sorry. I said I might have some damage to my front suspension. He said, "oh ok, you almost killed me with that huge car. I was working all night and wasn't paying attention. I didn't know you lived here. My mom lives here." What an idiot. It is a white and orange 69 Camaro Pace Car. Cant miss me. He left and I got his address and lic plate, but from his history of knocking out a restaurant owner along with his bad rep I am not sure I am going to pursue if its an easy fix. Well, my wife doesn't want me to.

Going back a few weeks...I was driving home and spotted a 3 series hanging over into the bay and marshes. The car was 20 yards from the road (bridge road). It was him. So my question is, why is he still on the road? I spoke to a friend, who is a local cop. He was going to look into it. He said I know he is into some bad stuff, but he should have lost his license. I have not had the time to get the car out again, but I am sure my alignment is off at the very least.

Can Firestone look at these cars? Would anyone here get a police report?

Thanks for reading.

BK

Sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you are OK. Have the car checked out and make your decision based on that. If it's a small amount and this guy is a POS, just eat it and move on. Good luck!

Sounds like to me he needs a bullet to the head. J/K. But really he sounds like a menace to society and something needs to be done about it. Glad he doesn't live near me.

I'd leave some oxy cotin and jack daniels in his mailbox and let the problem alleviate itself

I was so relieved to still have an arm and car intact that I just left after giving him a nice lecture. I should have called the police, but a lot of times that ends up on carfax. Don't know who would look at a carfax of a car from the 60s, but you never know.

Mein Auto: everyone crazy
This is a problem in here.Honest hard working people fear and are forced to keep driving records clean like a slate and these morons keep driving dangerously.I see this all the time around the place i live where meth heads run over people and keep driving on the roads.I think after a dangerous accident these people when caught with a repeat offense should be in jail to keep them off the streets.

I could say that I am glad that your are unhurt but that damage to your car must be painful.Nothing can bring it back to the original state.Good luck and thank your reflexes for this time.

From a talk with my insurance agent, things end up on carfax if the insurance company issues a check to the repair shop. I don't know what would happen if you pay for it out of your own pocket. I'm about to get some front bumper scrapes fixed on my dime, I'll ask that question.
