no words can capture the smile they put on my face when I saw them.
Then again I can only imagine the grin you had once you opened the boxes.

Your car is a Icon for 540 excellence.
Thank you, sir!

Updates from yesterday afternoon:

LM's are not fitted currently.... (I'm waiting on KW clubsports). In the meantime, I had to remove the 285's from the rear Alpinas and replace them with 275's to eliminate clearance issues.... the car should sit lower once the suspension settles in.
:

With the Procharger out of the way, the fender was reshaped to fit the contour of the Procharger and re-sprayed

What do you guys think of the newly powdercoated ducting and intercooler?

vs. the look of raw aluminum?

The powdercoat looks much better, a clean, slick look to match the engine covers.

The Clorox white Phantasma is on the prowl.

I might have to stroll through on my way to ATL in a couple weeks.

Done!

OK guys.... I am thinking of letting it go.
After a year and a half of being totally frustrated with my local tuner, I think I am ready to throw in the towel.

The car runs and drives, but needs further tuning to be optimal. This is a continuing project that I feel is about 90% complete.
If you have been following this thread, you should have a good feel for what I have accomplished with the car. I have over $25k in receipts from 2013 where I began the current supercharger set up. This places my total investment somewhere north of $40k. I would love to complete the car, but I do not have the ability to finish it myself and after my experience with Sneed Speed, you should understand my reluctance to hand it over to someone else.

This car is probably one of the nicest 540i/6 Msport in existence and one hell of a machine with the added performance.

$24k/best offer as it sits.... may consider certain trades
(feel free to text me at 336-413-3198 with offers or concerns)

WUT!!!!!!!
Oh hell no. I can't even get behind you on this one...But
I understand 100% (I know weird reaction)

I hope it goes to another enthusiast who understands the quality of work done to this car.
Matter of fact I'd list it on bring a trailer and the bmwcca forums.

Those seem to be the places where car enthusiasts in general are more willing to pay the RESPECTED value.
(Meaning what you've done to bring it to this point and condition.)

Otherwise you know like I do, (and probably don't care like I wouldn't) it's a hard sell unless they have the cash.

I'm hoping this will not be the end of days for you , but if so...

Tim, I've followed you and this build for years.
You've been an informative person never letting ego get in the way of
helping others out with their m6x builds.
I've read about it from when you first posted about it till now.
I've seen pics of all the transitions it's gone through that you've posted.

Like stated before but probably now with a more defined flare.

This car is the definition of a e34 540/6.
From my knowledge and from reading Tim's documentation,
it's been picked over and rebuilt to exceed what many would consider what a e34 should look like and how it should perform.
Who ever picks this car up will definitely have NOTHING else left to do to it unless
Tim states otherwise.

Otherwise IIWM and you not hurting to sell it. I'd take the insurance and plates off it.
Park it and wait till you find someone more dependable to do the tuning. And keep the Phantasma.

or you do more unscrupulous things and keep what you don't let get defiled for your next build. But I plead the 5th on that note.

Whatever you decide Tim. You'll always have the icon.

Thanks for your comments guys! Especially you, Satin..... After a year and a half of fumbling around and not being able to enjoy my car, I was thinking of something turn-key to buy.... still considering an E60 M5 or an X5m, but I still love the e34. If I can find a reputable shop /tuner to get the final 10% of this project finished, on time and on budget, I would be content for a long time.
