Upgrade idea

Greetings,

Those of you that have followed my posts in the past know that I just love to screw around with my perfectly good car.

I was looking at a picture of the M5 engine... Same block as in my 750... Hrm... The "charge-air coolers" (intercoolers) seem to be about twice the size of the intercoolers used on my car.

Since Dinan says that better intercoolers make a difference, and since BMW sells these... It got me wondering if anyone has ever tried using M5 intercoolers in a 750?

Dinan is asking $2,799.00 for their upgrade. It would at least require some additional hoses and plastic bits. All the BMW parts I've found so far add up to at least $ $1,913.46.

Code:

Ideas?

F it... do it... don't go the DINAN route though, and I'd be curious if you have to code the car for the engine (or whatever would need to be done computer wise to match the car up correctly), V/r, Tim

I think RB Turbo is working on a turbo/intercooler upgrade for the S63 engine. Maybe talk to them about interchangeability. It might make sense to wait until their S63 upgrade kit comes out and grab someone's used S63 turbos/intercoolers. Just a thought...
