F80/F82/F83 M3 and M4 (2015 - Current)

M4 vert vs M4 vs M3 assembly locations

Curious as I have heard some say that the M4 is only built in Munich whereas the M3 is built in Regensburg. However my M4 convertible data sheet specifies the Regensburg plant as it's build location (www.bmwarchive.com VIN lookup). Might make sense as the regular 3 (and other?) series convertibles are also assembled there. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of the convertible assembly on the factory tour this September (slim chance I know) but it would seem the convertibles are indeed built in Regensburg - anyone know differently?

Would seem to confirm that the majority if not all the convertibles may be built there.
