Mounting a European Plate on an X3
Greetings-
I would like to mount an Authentic Rectangular European license plate to the front bumper of my new X3 without drilling any holes in the bumper. Any ideas or suggestions on how this can be done? I will anxiously await your response. Thank you!! |

Double sided tape is how a lot of peole in the UK attach their plate.

Option 1 Double sided sticky foam, for that authentic half hanging off look Option 2 DRILL SOME HOLES for that authentic not quite square look but can't move it now. I agree with previous comment, get some double sided tape, go for the thick foam type as it takes out the vibration and can cope with the curve on the bumper

Hi-
I tried the thick foam double sided tape last week- felt like it held very good. I was happy with how it held the plate. Looked just awesome. Today, 5 days later, the plate fell off. Luckily, it was parked in my driveway. It was definitely parked directly in the afternoon sun. It appears the bumper has a texture that won't hold the tape as I had hoped. Are there any brands of tape that might have more holding power? I would really like to make this work as I think the European plate really adds to it looks. Thanks again! |
