It works, they just pull out. Took me 10 minutes total time to do both grilles.

IMHO, it looks great on the M5. Very aggressive and fits the car. On the 525 535 550 it looks out of place. But, this is coming from a guy who put an M5 spoiler on the trunk of his 535. In the end, it is whatever makes you happy.

Yes any year F10 M5 grill will fit on any year any model F10. You don't have to limit yourself to 2012. Only difference is the 2014+ M5 has the double-slat style and an M5 badge on it. I bought one on eBay for $100.

So I've changed the grill out for gloss black ones. Now, does anyone know if there's a market for the original grills I removed?

I have sold every part I have replaced on my M5 on eBay with relative ease, except the halogen interor lightbulbs. I sold the kidney grilles, mufflers, speakers and tail lights. I will soon sell the interor trim and shift knob when I replace them with carbon fiber trim.

Ok heres a good question can I buy a the new LCI black grill (m5 style 51712352807) and remove the center of it and remove the center of my pre LCI 550i grill and use the LCI center in in the pre LCI chrome frame??? I have read here that it can be done for sure with pre LCI grills.

thanks

It's a 3M wrap! just had it done last week! Color is 1080 Matte Dark Grey but looks more like Satin. M sport diffuser was done gloss black to tie in the roof, mirrors, spoiler and turn signal surrounds on fenders.

TVCam - looks amazing and I love the color. Very nice work.
I've been thinking about wraps too but can't gather the courage to do it.

What is the procedure for cleaning the wrap? Obviously no wax. Just car soap and water? How is the bug and tar issue when it gets on it?

Well I've had it on the for about 3 days now so it's too soon to tell. Hand wash soap and water and spot clean with a mixture of water and alcohol with microfiber cloth.

New guy here! Just wanted my second post here to be a thank you to everyone on this thread. I swapped out the chrome/silver grills on my 550 yesterday for gloss black ones and the total process, took me a whole 2 minutes! As mentioned, performed the swap when the car was warm and it could not have been easier. Thanks again everyone!

Just did mine with the pull method... less than 5 minutes and done... push down and pull/shimmy and they come right out.

Love the look! Car was in the sun but only 80 out today so don't need to really heat the car up too much.

$90 and free shipping... http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-F10-550...lle/ES2827005/
