Multiple problems!!help!

So on my 97' 740il I've had the battery light on for maybe 2 days max and Sunday night will driving the interior lights where kinda blinking and the radio when off, car continued to drive but once I stop and turned it off it said "Trans fail prog" then tried turnig it back on and it was clicking as tho if battery was dead but I could still lock doors ect. Well it started an hour or so later that night. Now it continues to do this problem ohh and when it happens battery light is on abs light and traction control goes on as well I need to no what it could be! Maybe the f-100 fuse in the trunk blew idk plz help me this is my first bmw at 17 and I love it and would hate to not be able to keep this car alive!

It acts like your battery is dead/dieing because it is. The problem is your alternator. Its not charging the battery enough or not at all. Go to test 9 on your display and see what the volts are. it should be about 13.4v or more.

Battery light on indicates its not charging, aka your alternator is not putting out. All the other symptoms you describe is a byproduct of your battery not having enough juice.

Being a 97 your kind of lucky. You have the air cooled cheaper one opposed to the water cooled one that started in 99.

NAPA has rebuilt Bosch alternators with a lifetime warranty for about $300.

As in pulled the cover off and used it yes but I don't have a moniter with me and now the car won't start at all but when I turn the key lights on dash light up and will stay on but just won't start

I can't not enough room...but I'm going to pep boys today to rent a fan/radiator removal tools...seems like removing that is the only way to replace it it will be done today tho!

If I were u I would follow the video I sent u. It is just easier to get everything out of the way... U can then change out pulleys belts thermostat hoses fan and fan clutch... Change the seals on your vans solenoids etc... Just do a nice clean sweep so when u put it back together it is all new and good to go
