Angel eyes for MY03

What does it take to put in angel eyes in an MY03 4.6is? Do I have to swap out the whole headlights? I heard that BMW used a different type of glue for the MY03 and it's impossible to separate the lens from the unit. So the only way to do it is replacing the whole assembly?

Thanks guys!

MY03 and later uses a tougher sealent on the lens but nothing that can be seperated with a little more heat.

Mobile Innovations <---click. IMO these guys retro the AE's perfectly. ((o)(O))[lll][lll]((O)(o))
Courtesy of TommyX and his AE's done by Mobile Innovations, which btw is totally engineered from OEM 5 series headlights. It all boils down to the look that you are after.

Angel Eyes for MY '03

We have done many sets of Angel Eyes for customers with MY '03 X5s. Because of the sealent they switched to, it is almost impossible to open the headlights without damagine them, but the harder part is properly re-sealing the headlights, which we can do correctly on MY <'03.

For these reasons, we sell our '03 customers completed headlights with the Angel Eyes already installed.

FYI except for the change in sealent all pre 2004 X5 headlights are identical.

If you have any additional questions, you can check out:

Question TopazDave, got a question

I know you are using the CCF to light up your halos which is very bright. However, at least in this picture, the inner halos (the ones in the high beam) seem to sit higher than the the outer halos for the low beam. Can you set the high beam halos to sit a little lower?

In response to ring size

The pictures are deceiving, the rings are actually completly level, to the eye they look perfect.

Hahaha... Can't take any pics yet 'cause my son was playing with the camera and he dropped it on the floor. The LCD is cracked and the lens can't focus anymore Have to get another one. It was a new digicam too
