Breaking into X5

Hello All

I have read in many different websites that X5 is very easy to break into. Has anyone done anything to prevent the break ins. Even my mechanic who changed my tires said the same thing. I am starting to get worried now. I read the article in X5WORLD regarding blocking the driverside keyhole. Are there any other ideas.
Moving to someplace safe does not count as a solution!!!!!!

Thanks

The best way to avoid a break-in in the first place is to replace the keyhole with the blank, which only allows the remote control to unlock the vehicle.

While it doesn't prevent a break-in, the other suggestion is have your dealer program the vehicle so that the alarm will trigger unless the vehicle is unlocked using the remote. That way if someone pops the lock it will at least sound the alarm when they open the door.
