X6 F16 (2015 - Current)
The all new 2015 BMW X6 is the second generation luxury cross over. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The F16 BMW X6 is build side by side with the F15 X5 at BMW's BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Read all about the second generation BMW X6 here!

About to order X6

I'm getting close to ordering an X6 xDrive35i with the following:
Ruby Black metallic
Cold Weather pkg
Driver assist plus with ACC stop & go
Premium package
Night vision (really, this is totally unneccesary but is my indulgence)
Surround view
Black 20" wheels

questions:
Multi-contour seats vs luxury seating (ventilated). I live in warm climate so the ventilated seats might be nice but, do youreally use them a lot? I do like heated seats. The price difference is very minor ($50) between those two options.

Running boards: they look nice but are they useful?

LED lighting: Nice, but, $1900? Don't think so.

I drive a 435i now and love it. I do plan on taking the X6 offroad. This a commuter car, my drive is 90 miles each way so I spend a LOT of time in it, hence the upgrades.

Comments?

We used our ventilated seats this summer, it just a matter of remembering to turn them on!
We opted for the M Sport package, so running boards were not an option.
As far as the LEDs, we are glad we got them, they are super bright and look amazing. (They can also be coded for the anti-dazzle feature)

Hope this helps.

They're part of tech package for f82 and are stand alone.

When I ordered my MY17 F82 there was no Tech Package.

The LED headlights are only available with the $1900 Lighting Package (ZLP)

The ventilated seats are a joke. I've never had a car with worse ventilated seats than my X6.

Code them and they'll be useful. The default coolest setting (I think) is 30C or about 86F which is ridiculous. However you can set it cooler if you're willing to code the car.

Okay, I'm intrigued. You can lower the temp of the air that blows out of the seats?

Sort of. The fans blow air and you can adjust the trigger for the fans to make the ventilated seat more effective. Coding makes a big difference but if you get into a hot car the seat will just blow hot air until the A/C kicks in.

See line 118 of this cheat sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...9s4/edit#gid=0
