X6 F16 (2015 - Current)
The all new 2015 BMW X6 is the second generation luxury cross over. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The F16 BMW X6 is build side by side with the F15 X5 at BMW's BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Read all about the second generation BMW X6 here!

Our 550GT and 535i had and have the xenon. I find the night time clarity with our LED X6 at night is markedly better. I prefer the color of the xenon, but the LED's have a much more updated appearance. I have been warming up to our X6. I think in time my appreciation increases for updated items such as LED's and the new style soft close doors.

I had a 2015 X5 with LEd and just bought a 2016 X6 50i with Xenons.

I had LED headlights in both of my previous X6's.. 2014 and 2015. I wasted almost 2000 in each car for this useless feature.

Yes, LED is lightly more light and it is a whiter (brighter light) you wont notice the difference after driving 2 days.

do yourself a favor do not waste money on it, instead get another option where you truly benefit from. for example Cruise control w stop and go function is 1200 but it will be great driving in traffic. in my 2016 x6 i opted out led on purpose, hope this helps.

Also came for a 2015 X5 with led adaptive headlights. Now, I have a 2016 X6 with xenons and a 2016 M4 with led headlights. While leds seem whiter, I don't find the xenons to be inferior. I don't think it's worth the money they are asking for them.
Current stable:

'17 BMW X6M Melbourne Red
'17 Toyota Prius Prime Plus Millenium Silver

had the led in 15 x6, now xenon on 16 x6. in my opinion, it is waste of money that i spent ($1900), you get excited first about how it looks, but why pay that money on something that you never get to see when you drive.
Light illumination wise , yes LED whiter but Xenon is close but not as bright as LED.

IMHO - the reason you all are disappointed with the LED headlights is that you didn't bother to have them coded to their full potential. The BMW Adaptive LED headlights BMW offers in USA are "crippled" through coding since they couldn't get government approval. Try a Google search or two and you will see what the engineers in Munich intended for the LED headlights - then find a friendly coder and spend an additional $100 to be amazed.
