2018 BMW M4 Coupe, Convertible and BMW M3 Sedan

2018 BMW M4 Coupe, Convertible and BMW M3 Sedan. The BMW M3 Sedan, BMW M4 Coupé and BMW M4 Convertible represent the epitome of a high-performance sports car, integrating technologies that were developed for the race track and proudly living up to a unique motor sport legacy.

All models now come with a new look on the outside as well as in the inside. Exterior updated features include adaptive full-LED headlights, complete in hexagonal graphic and fresh LED appearance for the rear lights. Newly designed illuminated M emblems on the front seats, chrome applications and electroplated detailing comprise some of the updated features in the interior.

Subtle changes, I was expecting OLEDS on the M-Cars

The MFD instrument cluster is the only thing that made me think "damn." But not enough for me to think, "let's start over my car note"

This is NOT the 2018 model video, it's the 2017! That's why you don't see any changed lights!

Here is the original video:

The all-new 2017 BMW M4 Coupè, M4 Convertible, M3 Sedan.

M3 has best stance, menacing. Assuming Tanzanite on the "3" but what was that brownish color on the F83?? Looked nice.

Does the M4 (F82/F83) get the MFD display at all, even as an option?
Don't see it in the videos above (unless I've missed it) or any mention of it here:

It's not in the videos but it's in the interior pics. It's probably going to be part of tech package

Thanks.
Must have missed the pics.
The one on the link in my post above is still the old cluster:

Would have thought they would show it off in the videos at least. It's one of the bigger interior changes/choices IMHO after all .

Really hoping it will be available. Would love to get that when I get the LCI.
I know option SA6WB isn't available on the X5M but is on the "normal" X5's (when I got mine last year at least).

Looks like black ZCP wheels are an option, too. Looks good!

I think he's referring to the full-LCD display that's available on the 6er and 7er. I guess it's making its way down the line. I personally prefer the analog needle... even if it's all digital behind it

Cheers,

Ah. I like the idea of the cleanness of it.

Agreed, think "Audi virtual cockpit"

But it's not enough for me to go out and start a new car note. Joe public knows M4, but the LCI isn't a huge discriminator.

Joe public around me barely if at all knows an M4. They might recognize that I have a cool looking car, but that's about it. And they CERTAINLY wouldn't have a clue about the LCI. I certainly don't notice when Infiniti changes whatever its G35/G37/Q60 looks like. Its still a nice looking car though.

Those who have replied on the subject are correct; it's the digital multifunctional instrument display which will be available as an option on the 4 LCI (and 3 series as from March - http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...php?t=960702):

I'm pretty pissed they are now offering full leather as standard, unless I'm misunderstanding this? They better increase the base price over 3k or they are screwing all of us who paid 3600 for the option.
