F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current)
The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.

Rear camera mode

I like the rear camera mode. Somehow I lost it and now get the 'collision interference" mode showing scan for objects front and rear. I read the manual (RTFM) and could find no way to get the camera view back. Any thoughts appreciated.

I was just in that menu this morning. There's a checkbox next to the rear camera view menu item. With that unchecked, I got the sensor view. Hope that helps.

rear camera mode

The car is a 2016 M 235i.
Thanks Peter. But I can not get that to work. When I purchased the car new the default mode in reverse was the rear camera mode. The mode somehow changed now to an 'obstacle detection' mode.
I have read the xxxxxxx manual 5 times now and pushed and turned every switch in the care (yes, including the parking rocker switch on the center console) and can find no way to go back to the rear camera view. The manual is no help. The 'menu' does not seem to address this.

Can anyone tinker with their car and tell me how to do it.

Hi,
in my car I just have to click on the Rear Camera Symbol to switch between the two modes.

I hope that will also solve your Problem.

Regards
Peter

Peter, when I bring up the view on my screen that corresponds to the left one you posted I can see the red symbol for rear camera view. There is no check box next to it as described earlier. And maybe I do not know how to click on it but I pressed the 'controller' down several times - then left, right and forward and backward but could not bring up the camera view.

Maybe there is some other trick to actuating this red symbol but I can not find it. I am beginning to think my system is broken although this car has less than 1,000 miles on it and the camera used to be the default view.

Your thoughts?
