Picked up 328i on Tuesday and drove it 300 plus miles home.Sport line, xenons (again thanks for the on-line advice about them,Mineral white metallic, Grey leather, cold weather pkg, alarm, summer tires.Drove home mostly freeway, pouring rain and wind.
DISLIKES: engine when cold sounds like whirring hamsters, shifter throws seem long.
LIKES: engine (mainly drove in 4th going from 50mph to 72mph so revs were varied, and what a great strong engine even on breakin.Averaged 34mph-again, wowTransmission-nice and smooth.
Seats-like them a lot plus the side bolsters are fine.
Suspension-again, wow. Picked up car in Portland Or and they have decent-sized road road "slow-down " bumps and no problem-slow a bit, but that's it.
This car has a lot of content for the price-the hill-holder, the folding mirrors, the door handle lighting, the three part folding rear seats.
The runflats are so far a non-issue but I do expect to get an emergency spare.
The ONLY thing I wish the car had is a large digital speedo display like my 2011 S4 (didn't say A---i) has.
BONUS POINTS-if you have read this far, what OBVIOUS ERROR is in the owner's manual
between pages 188-198?
The hill holder is a nice touch. I've never really had a problem with hills before, but every once in awhile there's *that guy* who pulls right up on your bumper and makes you sweat a bit.
I think they reserved that for the HUD. I wonder if there are any aftermarket flashes for the iDrive software that could give you that on the center display?
I am one of the few people who also got the Mineral white. I really like the color particularly as the sun goes down it takes on a silvery look. Congrads on your car I am really liking mine also.
