No idea how many pieces the E36 will be in come July, if its not drivable we'll polish up the 540i and strut its stuff. All it needs is a deep detailing and some trim re-wrapping to be in almost perfect shape.
Oh, heck. I'm in. What about bringing a portable Webber for some fajjjjjjjiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttaaaaas? Cousin de Taco? Homemade guac is sounding good too!
Hmm, wondering if the CookieMobile is pristine enough for concours? 8 year old car, 16k miles...interiors and exterior look brand new. What does one have to do to enter a show car?
Very seriously thinking about renting a house for the week on the Shore, though, for the week following. The traffic back to Boston on Sunday was beyond horrendous. Let's have a weeklong TacoFest! Saturday, beef tacos. Sunday, pork tacos. Monday, fish tacos. Tuesday, blue crab tacos. Wednesday, chicken tacos. Thursday, soft shell crab tacos. Friday, taco salad (aka leftovers). Saturday, traveling tacos (aka Taco Bell)!

I'd shoot Tim330i a PM and ask him about it, I think he's the one I worked with to get our group parking space last year. You probably pay a bit more and just have to show up early enough to get parked behind the tape, I can't imagine its more complicated than that.
Speaking of which, we should get our roster started so its nice and easy to request group parking this year.
I've added everyone who is currently in (I apologize if I don't know any real names that I should). Add a line for you and everyone in your group that will have a car, that way it'll be easy to send a list to Tim as soon as he sends out the email about group parking.
Also, feel free to create additional tabs for all your tracking needs, hotels, convoys, tacos, booze, the typical BF.e stuff...
and Ed lets start with east this time....although west may be a goal for the future.
i feel like i should own said 45 year old car (thats been sitting 5 years or so in a garage) for more than a few months before going coast to coast with it
i'm in....now it's just a matter of do i drive down the day of, or do i arrive the night before?? :dunno:
could probably be there about 830ish the night before, which would mean i would have to cook the morning of. and probably havfta bunk with somebody (anyone but ed...:eeps
even though it was one of the most fun things i've ever done, I am not freakin caravaning down there during the day, on the day prior. This year's plan is going to be, to leave the house at around 4:30am on the day prior and get to Aberdeen some time in the early afternoon and hopefully avoid mid-day traffic in Jersey. I probably sweat out a couple liters of water roasting in stand still traffic with my AC turned off. It'd be nice to get set up in the hotel, and enjoy some adult drinks before everyone arrives, I didn't even touch an ounce of alcohol the whole time last year, partly because I got there late at night, and partly because my hotel was away from party central (The Hilton). I vote that we try and consolidate ourselves.

:dunno: I had fun blasting through NYC traffic on 2 wheels... Mind you, I didn't find out until a few weeks ago that lane splitting was actually illegal there, though none of the cops I passed seemed to mind...
The traffic was at a standstill. (Jen and Ken will *fondly* recall). T'was the same in the city, so I just... went through the open spots... (I was courteous though andk kept the speed differential to no more than 10 mph).
The hotels are split into 2 main locations, bi-sected by that busy 4 lane road (Rt 22). So we should pick one of the following
First Choice: Hilton Garden and Super 8 are right across the parking lot from each other. Holiday Inn across a small access road from these two. The Hilton Garden was perfectly nice for the price, albeit a bit noisy from all the whippersnapper little leaguers.
Otherwise, Red Roof and Clarion are across that busy four lane road. Courtyard is right next to the stadium, but there is no low cost option.
