Whenever I turned the wheel to the extreme right or left I would hear a clicking sound as the front wheels spin on my 2011 35is. It became really evident with the top down and in a parking structure as I made the slow tight turns. It wasn't audible with the roof up. I brought it in once before and the dealer wasn't able to find any problem.
Last week, I had the service advisor walk by the side of my car as I slowly made figure 8's. Sure enough they heard the clicking sound coming from the front wheels and reported back later that day that they replaced both front rotors. I'm not sure what exactly was the problem, but the service report said something about the "rivets on the rotors causing noise". Wow, I can only imagine that there may have been some serious metal-to-metal contact all this time!
Has anyone else noticed this?
