roof problems please help

hi Ive just tried to get my roof to retract and it wont do anything at all,ive read up on here for hours and tried all ways of trying to get it to work the one question i cant find the answer to is if the micro switch in the boot is working incorrectly will it still click and activate the whole boot wont open when the top is is tucked away.

ive managed to confuse my self a little with this statement but please try and help me many thanks.
